New Nokia batteries come with a hologram that can help indicate whether or not your battery is a Nokia original.
You may have to turn off your phone and remove the battery to locate the hologram, which is illustrated in the animations below.
Find the code
Scratch off the ink coating along the edge of the hologram to reveal a unique 20-digit code.
Enter the code
Enter the code below and submit it for authentication.

Think you may have a counterfeit battery? Follow these steps:
Stop using the battery
A non-original battery may result in poor performance and damage to your device. It may also invalidate any warranty.
Have your battery inspected
Visit your local Nokia Care Point and have the battery inspected for authenticity.
Return the battery
If your Nokia care Point can't verify that your battery is original, return it to the place of purchase.

Other hologram checks
Check the dots
Angle the hologram. To the left, right, bottom, and top of the logo, you should see one, two, three, and four dots respectively.
Check the logo
Look at the hologram label. You should see the Nokia connecting hands symbol from one angle and the Nokia Original Enhancements logo from another angle.
